David J. Zammiello

President and CEO
Project QUEST, Inc.

David assumed the role of President and CEO of Project QUEST in June 2017. QUEST is a non-profit organization and workforce development resource. It provides comprehensive support to enable underemployed and unemployed adults achieve long term employment. David is responsible for the strategy and all aspects of QUEST program service delivery.

In December of 2016, David retired from USAA, a Fortune 100 Company, after 32 years of exceptional professional achievement including more than 20 years of executive leadership experience leading high- performing teams and implementing strategic business plans.

Upon his retirement, David held the position of Vice President, P&C Staff Operations. His responsibilities included leading the enabling functions of Program and Project Management, Quality Assurance, Supplier Management, Member Feedback and Advocacy, Process Improvement and Change/Communication Services. Previously, David also provided executive oversight to the P&C Limited (LTD) company serving USAA’s members in the UK and Europe.

While at USAA, David served in highly visible executive leadership roles within Human Resources which included Recruiting, Compensation, Diversity and Employee Relations. In addition, he served as the executive leader of USAA’s Workforce and Organizational Planning team. In these roles, David was responsible for leading enterprise wide talent management strategies that aligned to critical business objectives.

David is a 1984 graduate of the University of Texas at San Antonio with a degree in Accounting and Business Data Systems. He earned a master’s degree in Computer Information Systems from St. Mary’s University in 1992. He has held the Senior Human Resources Professional (SPHR) designation since 2002.
